Winnebago Landfill

William Charles of Rockford, Illinois traces the beginnings of our solid waste/environmental division to 1972 with the Winnebago Land Reclamation project known as Pagel’s Landfill. Since that beginning, our waste disposal facilities have included the operation of multiple landfills and the management of two transfer stations.

Today the Winnebago Landfill is an integrated solid waste facility consisting of the landfill, a recyclables processing center, a landfill gas-to-energy facility, a landscape waste compost facility and ancillary services. We are proud of our record of safely and efficiently serving our region for over 35 years.
